Summer courses 2021
During this coming summer, the Stockholmspolisens IF Swimming Club offers a number of summer activities for all ages and abilities. Both members and non-members are welcome!
The courses we offer are listed below. For more information, please click on the respective course heading.
1. Summer swimming school (level 1&2) & Technique Summer course (level 3) (for children aged 4-10 years + 9-14 years).
The level 1 and 2 summer swimming courses are aimed at children who want to develop their basic swimming skills through a pedagogical, high level program, in a really fun environment. Meanwhile, our level 3 course, the technique summer course, is tailored for children and youngsters who want to further develop their skills in all 4 swimming strokes. Activities include challenging and progressive exercises, both in water and on land.
For one week (Monday to Friday) swimmers take part in 1,5 hour (level 1 & 2) or 2 hour lessons every day. The courses will be available throughout the summer. For more information about the swimming schools prerequisites, fees, locations and contact information, click here!
2. Summer sports camp (for ages 9-14)
Our Summer sports camp is aimed at swimmers at the level corresponding to Challenger Gold (Utmanaren Guld), Simiaden Silver or Simiaden Gold. While the sport camp focuses on training with experienced swimming coaches, it also includes a variety of other fun activities for the participants.
This summer camp runs on a weekly basis (Monday to Friday) starting early in the morning until the afternoon. For more information about prior knowledge requirements, fees and contact information and more, please click here!
3. Open water course for adults
We are also offering an open water course for adults; these courses are both a rewarding and safe way to train in a group setting after a long period of isolation during the pandemic. Naturally, sessions will take place outdoors, where social distancing rules will be applied. This open water course will take place in Sickla shore (Sickla strand) from the 25th of May. We offer free trials during the first of the course. More info about the course can be found here!
